Meet Rikke Vestergaard

With nearly 25 years on the team, Rikke describes Balboa as “one big family” and values the variety in her role, where no two days are ever the same.

What do you do at Balboa and how long have you worked here?
My title is Financial Assistant. On November 27, 2025, I will celebrate my 25-year work anniversary.

What’s your favorite part of your job or a project you’re especially proud of?
My favorite part of the job involves payroll and HR matters, but also customer communication regarding payments—or issues related to missing payments—which ensures that no two days are ever the same.

If you could describe our team in three words, what would they be?
ONE BIG FAMILY – We have all worked together for over 21 years here in Denmark.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about your job?
My job may not hold too many surprises, but working in a relatively small organization means that my responsibilities vary constantly. We rely on each other across functions, and I often lend a hand wherever needed.

What advice would you give to someone starting in your field?
Be open and treat others with respect and dignity, no matter who they are.

If you could switch jobs with anyone at the company for a day, who would it be and why?
I would like to switch jobs with the HR manager in Mexico/USA for a day. I’m curious about how working conditions and work environment are like in a different and larger country compared to Denmark.
